Bass Are Going Crazy

Folks: I have been so busy fishing that I could barely stop to write. The bass are going crazy. The heat broke a little bit and early evening is just perfect. Light breeze and I am using a light green lizzard with a small split shot about 6 inches up. Throwing into or near brush and just waiting for the line to swim away.

I also got my first walleye ever in shallow water of all places. I could not believe it. He showed the glowing eyes and I remembered that you do not want to lip these guys. Too little to eat but fun to catch.

More news soon.

2010 Fishing Season is Starting!

Word is Crappie and White Bass are starting to move in under the dam on the river.

The coves are too cold yet. After de-winterizing the boat, we hit a cove close to the main channel and we got a couple of bites on deep divers but no real takers.

Currently, cleaning the gear and making sure to cruise the shoreline looking for structure that will soon be covered up by the spring increase in lake water level.

Check back soon!
